Free Health Screenings at San Francisco CARNAVAL
The Latino Task Force, BayPLS, and San Francisco County are excited to announce that we will be providing free health services at San Francisco CARNAVAL! Our commitment stems from the recognition that accessing healthcare can be a challenge for certain members of our community, and that's precisely why we're determined to make it easier and more convenient. By offering these services at CARNAVAL, we hope to reach individuals who might not have access to healthcare otherwise. Our team of healthcare professionals will be providing a range of screenings and services to help improve the overall health and wellness of our community.

Don't miss out on this opportunity to take care of your health while enjoying the festivities at CARNAVAL! No Appointment, ID, or Insurance Required!
Available Services:
- Blood pressure checks
- HIV testing
- A1C/Diabetes
- COVID & Flu vaccination
Services Description
HIV testing is vital for early detection and treatment, as it allows individuals to access appropriate medical care and take necessary precautions to prevent transmission.
A1C tests are used to measure average blood sugar levels over a period of time. These tests help diagnose and manage diabetes by providing information about an individual's long-term blood sugar control. HIV tests are used to detect the presence of the human immunodeficiency virus, which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).
Vaccines are crucial for preventing the spread of infectious diseases and protecting public health.
Results
We are thrilled to announce the results achieved at the 2023 SF Carnaval. This vibrant celebration brought together the community in a lively atmosphere, while providing essential healthcare services to those in need.
Here are the results:
- 20 HIV Tests
- 52 A1C Tests
- 41 Vaccines
By offering these services at public events, we can contribute to the well-being of overall community by reaching individuals in the where they feel most at ease and connected.
