Thyroglobulin antibody blood test
The thyroglobulin (a protein produced by the thyroid gland) antibody blood test measures the level of antibodies against thyroglobulin in the blood. Thyroglobulin is involved in the production of thyroid hormones. Certain autoimmune conditions may cause the body’s immune system to produce antibodies that mistakenly target thyroglobulin, leading to thyroid dysfunction.
